@stinkweed007

Because you have to log in, go to downloads, download and install everything. MMM2021 is a 64 bit program and it has to update the 32 bit instruments to 64 bits. This explained in this and other threads that you should read. There is also a bug list pinned at the top of this forum.

just to be clear. This MMM I have been running for nearly 2 years now and am logged in to it.. is the program I am using now no longer valid?

browj2 wrote on 7/11/2020, 10:36 AM

By updated, what do you mean? There is a new version of MMM so the natural assumption is that is what you are talking about since you failed to indicate the version that you have. So what do you actually have?

BTW, there has been no update issued for MMM2020 or any other older version for quite a while.

Lemme back up.. I have been running this MMM for about 2 years.. update after update comes a new bug or querk.. I get that.. but this time the issues are, the pointer selection (expanding button on top brow of MMM next to snap/undo/etc..) is missing. ALL of my instruments have a padlock on them which was not there last time I was in MMM. I figured I would try an bump the program by opening a previous project that used one of the now padlocked instruments, but then I got a track count notice, and I cannot expand past 8 tracks. Expanding past 8 tracks I get a window that pops up stating I need to sign in. and when I open the "Start Dialog" as requested, my username is up top and says I am logged in.

I figured I just needed to re-enter my P3 serial.. but when I do that, nothing happens...

I dont know what happened.. and with all the stuff I have purchased/downloaded/activated in this suite.. that would be murder to go through all that again.

Again, which version do you have? See under Help, About.

I logged out in the Startup Dialog.

Then I restarted MMM

Then entered my activation code again

It prompted me to sing in..

the errored saying that activation code was already used.. Logged me in .. and all services/instruments returned..

stinkweed007 wrote on 7/11/2020, 10:54 AM

Version is 28.0.3.51

browj2 wrote on 7/11/2020, 11:05 AM

That is the current and last version of MMM2020.

You noted in your second last post that "and all services/instruments returned." Does that mean the problem has been resolved?

If not, open the Programs Settings and click on Clean up Store under the General Options tab. MMM will restart; you will have to log in. Once logged in, are your instruments unlocked?

Yes. All services and Instruments have returned. The pointer selector is also back and the Track limitation notice is gone.

Previously, according to the "Startup Dialog" I was logged in.. But apparently the program did not get the message. So after I logged out from the "Startup Dialog", then restarted MMM. Entered my activation P3, MMM prompted me to Sign In, after Sign in (error, P3 code already in use) then all locks on instruments cleared and all other services returned. And the only thing I can notice is that a file is now gone from the "qml" folder in the root folder for MMM.
