After exporting, certain transitions cut instead of fading

I’m making a promotional video for a state wide festival, and have made about 4 or 5 drafts and keep exporting them, then showing the updated versions to my client. With my most recent draft, after exporting, the video file appears to cut straight from one frame to the next in two certain frames near the end; instead of slowly fading like I originally edited it to be on the timeline! I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks so much. This problem is just confusing me a bit, since everything on the timeline is positioned properly like nothing’s wrong, until I export it.

Hi

Check you do not have a stray video object on a track below the main video track at the crossover point.

Thank you so much John, that makes perfect sense. Though I don't have a stay VIDEO object, I do have two overlaping soundtracks. Would that cause anything? And if you like, I can attach a photo of the timeline where the problem is taking place if that would help. Thanks!

Hi

Can you post an image of the timeline - zoom in so we get a good closeup of the area where the video is causing the problem - the sound tracks should not be affecting the video

Thanks

John

Here it is. The two circles show where the two fades were. But on the exported file, it cut where those two supposed fades are.
