Hi, please can someone help me with this issue.I have burned a film to dvd at x4 speed directly from MVP format, i didnt export to another format first.Using Magix movie editor pro MX.

Heres the problem: When i played back every few minutes it starts playing slightly too fast or jumping a bit too and then the picture will stagger, then it settles down for a bit. My dvd's they are Inkjet printable 16x DVD-R.It's not my dvd player as i have played on my pc and the same thing happens in the same places.

I hope this is enough info for someone to help, i've been working on this for ages editing a wedding video for a friend. Thanks in advance. Here were the settings i used most were just default.

Hi,

Many possible causes so I think it's going to be a matter of methodical experiment.

1. First, establish whether the issue is in the burning or the encoding. To do this, see if it plays from the DVD folder created by MEP directly after the encoding. This is located wherever you've specified in Program Setings > Folder. Use a player of choice, such as VLC, WMP, PowerDVD, etc. VLC (my preference) lets you play the folder itself, but a more universal method is to open the file VIDEO_TS.IFO with the chosen player. That displays the menu, and you proceed from there. Or go directly to the content by playing VTS_01_1.VOB.

If the problem doesn't occur doing this, then it's definitely the burning. If so:

2. I assume you've covered the obvious and tried alternative disc media types?

3. Reduced burn speed to minimum?

4. Try burning that folder I described from an alternative program such as ImgBurn (my preference) or Nero, etc.
