@dmstar1956 I see, the problem is that Magix is currently redoing the complete user interface and they are replacing on part after another. They changed the transport control some month ago to the current version and now the BPM setting seems missing. It's the same for customizable keyboard shortcuts. Just gone.
Technically you can export your project as a WAV file, then import it into an empty project and timestretch it.
Samplitude Music Studio should also be able to import MMM projects and edit the BPM. But then you cannot open them again in Music Maker and need to finish it in Samplitude Music Studio.
You gotta be kidding me. I only bought this program two months ago. I deleted it last month and then reinstalled it a couple of days ago. I also installed the update (first screenshot).
How could they possibly justify removing such a basic control from a music creation program?
I bought Music Maker premium and it had the tempo control when I first downloaded it.
@robert-ts Uninstall Music Maker and redownload and install it again to go back to version 4.44. The newest patch is broken and was revoked just one day after it released.
My negative comments on MagixMusicMaker get deleted. MMM has gone down hill last version I am willing to use is 4.44. as all the updates after are useless ie new layout (so many options go missing) as well as the crashes.
MMM used to be a rewarding DAW don't know why the Magix team are destroying it.
SP comments on this USER forum are very appreciated, have directed me to very useful info to enhance my PC experience.
I have deleted the first image you posted because it included your registered email address for your Magix account. As to your question: I'm running MM Premium 2023, version 31.0.0.9 and this is what I see on that transport bar:
I have MM 2022 Premium. Notice in the attached screenshot that it doesn't show the BPM indicator where it's supposed to be. This is with the .54 update installed. This is what I'm upset about as I have no way to adjust the project tempo. Here is another screenshot of my user interface minus the image that showed my email address.
The 2023 version of the program as you've indicated DOES show a BPM indicator as part of the transport control. But the 2022 version with the .54 update installed does not, or at least mine doesn't. If I've overlooked something, please let me know.
Would reinstalling the program minus the .54 update fix the problem, you think?
I really am not sure whether reverting to an earlier version would resolve this, sorry, but I think you really should create a Support Ticket to ask why the BPM setting was, apparently, removed from your version and how you may regain access to it. You can create a ticket starting here, always ensuring to fully check each subsequent page and always selecting the option to Ask Support when this is offered, often at the foot of a page.
IMO this really is something that Magix ought to be able and willing to resolve for you. (But I am not a Magix employee so ...)
@dmstar1956 What screen resolution or text scaling are you using? Have you tried to hide the right panel by closing the store and loops tab? You can reopen them by clicking on their icons in the top bar. Maybe the transport control needs more space to show the BPM info. Otherwise you can just download and install Music Maker 2023 without buying it (free edition). All your premium edition features will be transferred.
Scaling was the culprit. Scale was set to 125%. When I adjusted it back to the default setting of 100%, the BPM and Time Signature indicators reappeared. Not sure how/when but I must have adjusted the scaling some time ago and forgot I had done it.
