Additional 2000 free sounds in Music Maker Premium MX? PLUS, a couple extra questions.

Binger wrote on 11/12/2011, 12:28 PM

Okay, I click on the Catooh icon in Music Maker 18 Premium MX. A Catooh website opens (I'm already registered there). I don't find any instructions to follow. Where or how do I get the extra 2000 sounds? Do I have to enter a coupon code/ If so, where?

Also, can someone tell me if you can monitor incoming audio in Music Maker Premium. For instance, I have a keyboard (PA 800). How do I listen to what I play as it is being recorded?

Also, is there a way of setting pre-count measures before recording starts?

Hi

Part 1 if this question has been asked and answered before.  Please read the top topic on this forum

http://www.magix.info/uk/forum/1-all-about-magixs-programs/10-movie-edit-pro-video-pro-x/#/topics/?page=1&limit=20&sort=newest_topics_answers

before posting.

1.  In MMM MX click Help, Update Program/Upgrade Functions, Download free Synthesisers and Sound Packets to get the additional files etc you need.

2.  Depends on how you are using the Korg and your sound card.  Normally you will hear anything coming into MMM.  You may need to look at the Audio settings of your sound card - Windows that is not MMM).

3. Look up Measures in the manual (pdf file installed with the software) or Help

John, thanks for answering. I did read everything I could find about the extra 2000 sounds. No one said that the program had to be updated first. So I have done that. Now, of course, when I click on the Catooh icon a page is opened that says,"Click here to redeem your voucher." I do that and add it to the shopping cart and go to checkout where there is a place to enter a coupon code. Well, that is where I'm stuck now. How do I either get the coupon code or redeem the voucher? Or what have I missed along the way from "Click here to redeem voucher" to whatever?
Previously, I had read where another person was having the same problem; that is, the coupon code or redeeming the voucher. The answer was short and curt and of no help. Somewhere else I attempted to read one in German (I don't speak or read German) but the guy answered the question with couple of uploaded pictures. I think I read a couple of other answers somewhere on this site, but those didn't help. So, I'm wondering if you could provide more info so that I don't have wander all over these groups and forums.
About the second and third question I asked. I did look in the manual. I also came to this group or/and forum and searched and looked through several posts. The problem is that there do not seem to be many posts or users, nor does there seem to be a good search function.
I use three other DAWS (Sonar X1 Extended, Pro Tools, Samplitude 11.5 and sometimes Mixcraft 5) for various things in various ways. I have an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra (external sound card) and the PA 800 is hooked directly to that. I have an M-Audio MIDI keyboard for virtual input.
I primarily purchased Music Maker for the sound pool, so it doesn't matter whether I can monitor audio or whether there are pre-count measures to recording audio or MIDI, as I can export the sounds into another program. So, if you could just tell me how, exactly to get the extra 2000 sounds without going through hoops and hurdles, I would very much appreciate that.
Thanks much...........

Hi

I am pleased that you have read the documentation etc, it is surprising how many people dont!

The Search facility is sometimes difficult to use, not because it is bad but because there are so many ways of saying the same thing and as with most search engines etc it is relatively absolute and cannot read minds !!

When you purchased MMM did you get the download version or the disc version?

I have MMM MX Premium Download version and when I click the upgrade etc link under help I get this dialog box

where you select the downloads. They download and install without taking you to Catooh.

Failing this contact Sales at Magix, they usually respond to emails within a few days.

Hey, I have requested information from the Catooh Team and this is their answer to the question on how to download extra +2000 Sound Package:

Please update your Music Maker first and then visit the special landing page. Start your Music Maker and click on the [Catooh]-Button or use your internet browser and navigate to: http://www.catooh.com/us/the_online_media_marketplace.353.html

Please follow these steps:
1) Click on the image with the text "+2000 Sounds Package".
2) Place the media "+2000 Sounds Package" into your shopping cart, click on the link "In the shopping cart".
3) Click on the button [Checkout].
4) Login with your Catooh account if you haven't already.
5) Insert your 19,99 USD voucher code into the text box and click on the link "Redeem coupon". You can find the code on the CD sleeve of your program. If you have purchased the program as a download version, then the code was sent to you via email. The correct coupon code should start with "G2".
6) To buy the media, check the box "I have read all licences and agree with them." and click the button [Purchase and download].
7) You can now download your media from the download list - click the button [Go to the download list].

You can always find the download links for your purchased media files on the Catooh homepage under "My Account\Media bought". As usual those links are valid for 2 weeks. Please remember to create backup copies of your purchased media files.

I hope this helps.
