Adding to Soundpool

Robert-Andrews9742 wrote on 5/18/2021, 7:16 AM

I've gone though a lot of posts on the subject, but no luck adding a soundpool purchased from Producerproducts to MAGIX version 21.0.4.50

I downloaded both Wave and OGG formats, unzipped, and moved to C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

I click on +add in the Styles block, and give the folder name of the new soundpool, runs through a process that does nothing.

I've also tried clean soundpool, and reset soundpool, and scan, with no luck

What am I doing wrong?

@Robert-Andrews9742 Which loops are you trying to add? It needs to be a Soundpool by Magix. Other loops cannot be added but they can be dragged and dropped from your file browser into your project.

@Robert-Andrews9742 Yes, Homecoming is a Soundpool by Magix and should work fine. Have you tried to add just WAV or OGG, not both?

Robert-Andrews9742 wrote on 5/18/2021, 7:56 AM

I tried WAV first, when that didn't work I tried both... I can tru OGG by itself

that didn't work either

@Robert-Andrews9742 Can you make a screenshot of your unzipped folder and its content?

I'm not sure if it has something to do with your old version of Music Maker. Old Soundpool loops were in 44.1 kHz, 16 bit. Soundpools from Producerplanet are in 44.1 kHz, 24 bit. It could be that your version of Music Maker cannot open 24 bit audio files.

sad face :(

@Robert-Andrews9742 You can upload a screenshot by clicking the blue button with the white arrow above your textbox. Maybe you just unzipped the folder incorrectly?

@Robert-Andrews9742 You can also try https://www.xmedia-recode.de/en/ and convert the WAV files to 44.1 kHz, 16 bit and check again if you can load them after you converted them.

@Robert-Andrews9742 Ok, this look good. Which folder are you scanning when you are trying to add it? C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools or C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Folk - Homecoming - Singer Songwriter

Robert-Andrews9742 wrote on 5/18/2021, 8:43 AM

Have been tring to add folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Folk - Homecoming - Singer Songwriter

SP. wrote on 5/18/2021, 8:57 AM

@Robert-Andrews9742 Maybe you should also try the folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

And try to convert the files to 16 bit with XMedia Recode.

The only idea I have after that doesn't work would be that you try the new version of Music Maker.

Robert-Andrews9742 wrote on 5/18/2021, 9:16 AM

tried C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools... no dice

I'll give the converter a try and let you know.... I hate having to buy new sofeware when I don't mess with this very often

Thanks

The latest free basic version of Music Maker should be able to import your soundpools.
