@herc No, you need to open the program settings and click on the folders tab and there you can configure the VST scan path. Add all necessary paths with your plugins to the list and scan them. After that, the VSTi plugins should be available in they Instruments tab and VST FX plugins should be available in the track options and the object editor.

I think the ones i wanted to add were 32 bit which Ive accumilated over years. Magix wont add them. Ive upgraded my pc to win 10 64bit and got mmm 64 bit 2023 premium. Is this why Im having problems?

Hi

. . . . add a third party vst to magix and purchased a plug in from magix to enable this . . . .

Which plug-in did you buy, the VST Bridge, or the VST Support plugin ? You need both.

According to the topic title you have the Premium edition, if so, and it is fully activated and all the extra content installed, there should not have been a need to purchase any plugin related to enabling VST's.

32bit VSTi's are recognised and usable as shown below

Are any of the 32 bit VST's effects plugins?

Think I bought the support plug in only. I tried connecting the Sub boom bass vst by Rob papen and magix doesn't see it. I thought it might be my upgrade from win 8 32 bit to win 10 64 bit

@herc

Hi

In Music Maker are you logged in - you should see your preferred name or email address top right indicated by the yellow arrow in the image below.

If you are logged in and have the Premium version, in the Store search for the VST features and check that both acquired and installed, see image below - you should not have to purchase these if you are using the Premium edition.

Which Sub boom bass VST did install? The 64 bit version with the .VST3 file extension or the 32bit version with the .dll file extension - in the case of the VST3 version is available in Music Maker.
