Activation Question for Second Computer

I purchased Samplitude ProX6 in May 2021, and downloaded it onto my laptop.  I registered the software and began using it.  I assume that registering the software also activates it.  I do not recall needing to take any extra steps to activate.

I have now downloaded Samplitude ProX6 to a second, desktop computer.  The web page used for the download specifically states that the software "may be used on 2 devices simultaneously."  However, on the Technical Support page (https://www.magix.com/us/support/technical-support/#c69706), under the heading "License Verification," it states:

Based on the registration and activation, the software is assigned to the device on which it was installed. You can change this device once a month through the MAGIX Service Center.

This seems to be a contradiction.  I want to use Samplitude on my laptop one day to record, and on my desktop the next day for post-production.  Before I open Samplitude on my desktop computer I need clarification.

When I attempted to register the software on the second (desktop) computer, I received a message saying the software had already been registered (obviously) and would not allow me to continue.  Also, I have never been prompted to log In to any website in order to use my Samplitude software, and it seems that should have happened.  Again, please clarify.

@JLa If you bought Samplitude Pro X6 there should be two possible activations visible in your user account at https://www.magix.com/int/support/my-service-center/ Please check this.

Usually you can install and activate your program on two different devices at the same time. If you install and use it on a third device, you need to deactivate the program on one of the other two devices first. You can do this an infinite amount of times (as far as I know) in the Help menu of the program or your can do this in your user account at https://www.magix.com/int/support/my-service-center/ (but there is a limit per month).

If you bought Samplitude Pro X365 (the subscription version) there is only one activation possible at once.

Thanks so much. I will check this out and glad to know I can use Samplitude on two computers without jumping through hoops. Luckily I didn't purchase the Pro X365 (subscription version). JLa
