Hi

For Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus (MEP 16+) the codec should activate online when you add the very first mp4 to the timeline.

When do you get the message requesting the computer id?

Which version of Windows are you using?

If windows 10 and you upgraded from 7 or 8 then MEP 16 Plus will not be able to register the mp4 codec.

MEP 16+  is not compatable with Windows 10 and you will have to upgrade to a version of MEP which is compatible and your computer specification should exceed the minimum requirements for working with HD video.
