Activation

Anastassios-Retzios wrote on 2/14/2022, 12:47 AM

I have purchased Xara Designer Pro X. I have just installed an update to the program. However, after the update, the program (which was perfectly installed and activated) asked me to activate it again. I entered the serial number, but this "stupid" program told me that I had exceeded the number of my licenses (which, of course, I have not). It is an incredibly stupid process to have to activate the same program in the same machine after each update. It is tedious and unnecessary.

In addition, you make it almost next to impossible to contact support; One must have a Ph.D. in web obfuscation to find out how to send a personal message to your support department.

Considering the fact that there is substantial pressure to update a number of web sites, I hope that you can provide me with a solution to this problem that you, yourselves, have generated.

@Anastassios-Retzios

These are user to user forums so not a contact for any Magix staff and we cannot provide you with a solution, sorry! And there really is no point at all in berating us for your problem!

In your only other post to these forums here you were given a very clear link to how to raise a support ticket with Xara. Did you follow that link and do so?

In this case, however, you should be able to resolve the problem easily yourself.

  • Go to your Magix account. Log in and go to My products.
  • Find the entry for your software.
  • Click on "Show more details".
  • The next page will show "Details about your product".
  • Find the section that says "The following activations with this serial number are in use:"
  • Select all that are no longer needed and click on Deactivate.

Then try again to activate the version on your computer.
