Activating video saver, version2, after some time not in use

Hello, I can not access my files on the computer.
No problems earlier but I have not used Magix Video easy VS Edition saver, version2, for some years and now I can not access the files I have created earlier. They are all on my computer.
Tried to installera from my cd again but since my serial number already has been registrerad and so I was told to contact support.

I enter the program and I click on ”Open a project” and then as I click on the file a message says I need to activate to be able to use MPEG-2. As I trye this online I get the message that the serial number already is registrated with an other (my previous email adress) email adress. Error code -24.

Then files can not be found and it seems I need to activate the program again?

My email adress is: Removed by Moderator

I use windows 10.

Magix easy VS edition serial number: Removed by Moderator

Would appreciate if you could assist me in getting access to my files again?

Regards

Dan in Gothenburgh, Sweden.

@johnebaker

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

@Dan-sterlund

First, please be aware this is a public, user to user forum and confidential, personal data should never be posted here. Hence, I have edited your post to remove your email address and serial number. Just to be clear, there are NO Magix staff who visit and post here.

However, since the problem appears to be one connected to your email address you should do the following:

  1. Go to your Magix account, log in using your old email address.
  2. Go to User data and change the registered email address for your account.
  3. Go to My products and find the listing for your software. Check whether it shows how many activations of your software are currently recorded. Deactivate any and all you no longer need.
  4. Log out of your account.

Wait a few minutes and then try again to register your product, clearly now using your "new" email address.

Should this not be successful OR you cannot access your account because you have forgotten your password you need to email infoservice@magix.net with FULL details of your old and new email addresses and the problem you are experiencing with the software and ask for their help in resolving all this.
