AcLab2013 Burn Music to USB in Format " .ogg " ?

jpb.third wrote on 10/31/2014, 6:23 AM

I used to burn my music from AcLab2013 & previous versions in .wav to CDs. Now I have changed my car I need to use USBs to listen to my own music or an MP3 player. I like to record from CDs I have bought and create my own sound for personal use. My new car does not have a CD player on board.

The instruction manual suggests music on USBs to be in file format ( .ogg , .m3u and .wpi. )

Is it possible to create these from AcLab 2013 in the "burn" stage ?

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Thank you.

Hi

You do not burn to USB memory stick.

Export the files to the USB device in the format required, in appropriate folders if necessary - the player should find them.

Hi,

Which instruction manual are you referring to - ACL or the car?

Normally you export to MP3 and, as John Baker indicated, give the destination as the memory stick, or export to somewhere on your hard disk, put everything that you need in one location and then copy the files onto the memory stick using Windows Explorer.

I can't think of why the ogg format would be recommended, but it you want to export to ogg, then go to the top menu, select File, Export, OGG Vorbis.

Hi John CB,

The.manual I refer to is the car handbook manual. Thank you for your advice ; I will try your suggestion.

I presume your advice refers to the programme Audio Cleaning Lab 2013 ? Which is the one I have.

Be interesting to see the results.

Thanks again.

Joe.

Hi,

Yes, ACL2013, but the various versions are basically the same.

Do a test with a few songs. Try both mp3 and ogg to see if there is any difference in the sound or the filesize.

BTW, if you ever upgrade, do not get ACL2014 as it is actually a downgrade. Get AML2014 Premium. There are some very good tools in it, and it can handle video clips. You can't edit the video, only the audio, but you can view the video.
