Acid Pro won't import AVI video files

Yes you can only drag and drop one avi track.

What does the actual error say?

Looks like a codec issue.

Have you tried downloading the free K-Lite codec pack to see if that helps?

I did figure out how to get an MP4 and an AVI in, but it's just frames. Is there a way to get it to play the actual video, or am I stuck with it?

I generally use Acid Pro for music and a separate video editor for avi files etc.

Looking at forums and Google search, I don't see a solution, unless one of the other users has a suggestion.

What version of Acid Pro do you have?

Acid Pro 10 accepts import of Avi format.

AVI could be any number of codecs, since it is just a container, and loading them in to applications relies on you having the right direct show codecs installed.

Pro 10 Version 10.0.5.

The software I'm using for video generation is called Debut. It has a number of different video compressors available. Don't know if that changes the codec.

AVI is quite a a large file.

I figured it out. I didn't have the video preview window open. All is good.
