Acid pro keeps offering me upgrade at $99, but magix wants $199

Hi there, Ive tried contacting magix customer service but they wont get back to me for some reason, so Im posting here. I downloaded the trial version of Acid Pro 10, and its still in the trial period. A pop up comes up everytime I open it up, saying I can have the Magix Acid Pro 10 Suite at 75% discount, at a price of $99. When I click on the button link, it takes me to a login page, asking for my address, and i fill out the form. It then says that because Im in an EU country I cannot buy from their US website, only non-EU countries can. It says i must go to an EU magix website, and when i go to the Ireland magix website, it says I must pay €199.

What is going on? And why do magix not get back when dealing with a purchase issue such as this? My trial is about to run out, so is this a scam to get me to pay the €199? Abelton live has a 90 day trial, Im tempted to go their route. Used Acid in Sony and before they bought it too, never had issues dealing with the company.

Very frustrating.

Last time I still could upgrade my VEGAS from the US-page (and saved some money) but this time I'm forced back to Germany. Same price different currency.

Like @Yelandkeil I can purchase form the Ireland version of Magix website for €99, additionally the UK site has the same offer at £74.

If you already own an earlier version of Acid Pro then you should be able to get the lower priced Upgrade option.

Cheers @Yelandkeil I saw that offer, and Im getting the exact same date (up to 29th Sept) as you, Im in Ireland, so possibly an EU offer... but its actually the full Acid Pro 10 Suite that they are offering me for $99, which is 75% discounted, down from €/$399, see attached screenshot. It's obviously a deal they are offering their US trial customers. Have emailed screenshot to Magix, not expecting them to reply. We shall see. Probably going to go for Abelton Live 11 instead tbh, not getting a good vibe from their service, and Acid seems to be low on their priorities, so going forward might be best to go with abelton. Live is their main product, and its always been owned by them too, so dev/cust service should be better. Tnx again!

@johnebaker cheers for the heads up too, but pls see my previous comment and screenshot... its the full Acid Pro 10 Suite that Im being offered for $99, not just Acid Pro 10 standalone. Tnx all the same for checking it out :)

That's an upgrade price (means you already have an early vision of ACID pro suite).

In the past I had Acid Pro 2 & also 4, but that was a long time ago, and on a different pc. And I mean a LONG LONG time ago.

I only have Acid Pro 10 trial on this pc.
