Dear @Antonio-Gardner,

could you please give us a description about what you have done in ACID leading to the crash?

Best regards,

Marco

While ACID was looping a section of a track, I had a Klanghelm VU Meter open for gain staging. I went to save my project, it crashed. I think it may have done it on other plug-ins.

Hi Marco and others

My Acid Pro keeps crashing every single time I try to record a vocal. I switched preamps and purchased a focusrite scarlett 2i2. works for 5 minutes, then crashes. I want to purchase Audio 10 suite TODAY but fear I can never use it. Please help!! Hear is just one example. Thanks, Darryl

@darryl-jones

Welcome to the Magix forums.

Since your question is about Acid 8 and the OP is asking about Acid 10, your question should really not be placed in this thread. Rather, please start a new thread with your question, making sure to include ALL the information requested in this post.

Thank you

Come on Magix. This pays the bills. I can't have it crashing on me. What's going on! I'm up against a deadline!

Is it me or is it you? Help!

Thanks. I CNTRL+SHIFT+click on the acid pro short cut to delete all the cache and it haven't crashed yet. (knock on wood)

I think one of my settings or my folder organizations may have used a RAM space it wasn't suppose to and when Acid was looking to use VCRuntime. VCRuntime was like, "Who the hell are you and why are you in my spot?"

I don't know what I'm talking about but its seem to work.

Antonio-Gardner wrote on 4/6/2020, 6:13 PM

After doing some research, I found that VCRuntime is located in Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3. I did not have that particular Redistributable. I believe I had a Redistributable that spanned 2013-2017.

Thinking that that may be the culprit, I uninstalled the 2013-2017 Redistributables then Acid Pro 9 and 10.

Then I reinstalled Acid Pro 10 and during the install it asked to install a certain version of a Redistributable. I allowed it and completed the install. I haven't had any problems yet.

cntrl+shift+double click INDEED gave me some "new" windows with the option to delete all cache, the programm reset to default setting and worked for me as well, and no more dll crashes windows .

thanks .

the question (out of fear though) - can I CHANGE the settings or will it crash once I do ??

I just did the ctrl+shift+double and deleted cache, now the damn thing won't even open. I get the crash window right off of the bat! What the hell is going on here?
