[ACID Pro 8] Console resets when opening ACID

Example of what happens in that GIF.

When I open acid, it seems to forget all of my customizations, plus it forgets that I don't want to see the new's when it starts up, even though I always click "Do not show this at startup"

I have tried running it as admin and as not, no change. Uninstalled and reinstalled, even wiped my system and reinstalled.

Running Windows 10 Pro, i7 4770k, 16gigs ram, Audigy series sound card.

Any way to fix this?

Hey there, unfortunately, currently there is no way to fix customizations. I have Acid pro 10 and I have setup mixer console, track colors and custom key commands, Acid does not seem to remember them at the next execution. The only items Acid remembers is the favorites in FX folder. This is just another bug that needs fixing.

That is unfortunate. Having everything enabled when you start the program makes it super messy trying to work on it. Wasn't sure if this was brought up on another topic earlier, I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

What's weird though, is like, it remembers it at startup, and then just resets it... So the customization is stored, but there is a line somewhere that just resets it.

In my case, everything not only goes back to default, I somehow lose MP3 codec capabilities. Meaning MP3 files will not work and Acid will crash. I will have to un-install and re-install the program. Believe this or not, there was a a point where I was re-installing Acid almost every time the PC was restarted or if Vegas was installed. I went through so much grief but now it doesn't crash anymore, just as long as I don't use MP3 files, don't use any of the new features that Magix added, don't add custom key commands, don't change colors, don't customize mixer console, things are cool.

Just to add, I am running a strong system: 32g ram, i7 10th gen intil, 1660S nvidia graphics, M.2 SSD where its installed. You could launch a spaceship compared to running acid pro on that system. But acid still manages to find a reason to crash and not let me use MP3 files.

I am thumbing through the process chain of when it happens to see if there's something triggering it from doing that... possibly a reg entry? who knows.

Still bugs me that it shows up and then resets at start of program.

If you find a solution, please share how exactly you did it because I have absolutely zero help from Magix (never replied) and no one here really knows much as everyone is in the same boat.
