Acid Pro 7.0 will not register

My Acid Pro stopped working. Version ACID_Pro_7_INT_170316_17-46_7_0_0_746 . I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but when I attempt to register it, I receive an error message stating: Application Registration Utility has stopped working. I've tried the offline approach, but it requests a computer id, which it does not explain how to find. Customer support has simply dropped the ball, simply telling me that my 12 months of service are over...too bad, buy an updated product. Any suggestions? Is this recent? The same has happened to my Sound_Forge_Pro_11.0.0.345_sfnrpack20_suite_11_0_0_345 . My other Magix products, Vegas Pro 15.0, Magix Video Sound Cleaner, DVD Architect, and Magix Audio Cleaner all still work.

Operating System
  Platform: Windows 10.0 (64-bit)
  Version: 10.00.18363
  Language: English
  System locale: English
  User locale: English

Thank you

Acid Pro 7 and Sound Forge 11 are old Sony products, 2009 and 2013 respectively, and not Magix products. Besides providing an upgrade path when they took over these products I'm not sure Magix have a lot of responsibility. Especially for an 11 year old program.

Thank you. I understand they are older products. However, the Magix name is on them. They are included in my Magix account as software I licensed. Magix also includes the software download, the software manual download, and my serial number on its site. When I attempt to register the software, online or off, I receive a notice from Magix informing me that something went wrong with the registration tool. I would say that is well more than enough for Magix to have responsibility for them. When Magix purchased these products from Sony, Magix assumed all responsibility for them. If Magix shut down a registration server, the least they can do is inform me of this, and provide a fix. It should be fairly simple to provide a fix for offline registration, using my serial and authorization number. The fact that Magix customer "service" won't even inform me what's going on is a very poor choice on their part.

In that case I think you are right. They can't assume that everyone wants to upgrade.

Just to note: I have these programs loaded on an older (2016) computer that I have dedicated to audio production. These programs worked very well on the computer; other Magix audio programs on the computer work quite well too. I do not wish to upgrade at this time. Everything worked as it should, until recently. I should also add that I purchased these products through a Magix promotion in 2018. A two year lifespan for a program is simply irresponsible. When I do build a new computer, I will have to steer clear of the Magix name.
