try this: open 'View" unclick 'Clip Properties" (that will close it) THEN open 'View' again and then click 'View Properties' (it should be undocked now) Are you using 1 computer monitor or 2?

Thanks for this - I should have mentioned that I tried that already. When I clicked it off, it disappeared from the lower tray, and when I clicked it back on, it came back in the tray.

@Redblur sorry that didn't work. From your other post I see you use a Laptop. (that answers my 2 monitor question) The reason I asked was I use 2 monitors and have my mixer on monitor 2. This is also where I nest SoftSynth Properties and if need be, Clip Properties. (with the Mixer) I did as I suggested in my answer and the 'Clip Properties' did NOT re-nest itself, it appeared but did not re-nest, sadly that didn't help with your issue. Cheers
