Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Since you are still using Win 7 this is almost certainly an issue with your Internet Security Settings. This older post includes an answer from a member of Magix Support Staff about the specific settings you need to check - it is the last post in the thread.

Thank you Jeff, that link put me on the right track.

All the boxes were ticked i switched Background Intelligent Transfer Service to auto, that didn't work but i also noticed I.E. also didn't work (I haven't used it for years) so i reset it, rebooted, now my program is installing.
