I am a long, long time customer of Movie and Audio Studio... This is the second time, in a year that I was offered a discounted price on a current upgrade and within two weeks the new version was released. This is the second time that a campaign was pushed through a pop up and through many emails for the current version just before the release of the next. The only news was delivered through the program itself. So what Magix did was to try to sell as many of the current version just before release of the other just weeks before the new release. Since this is the second episode (and my last), the pattern is clear and the whole thing is a bit under handed. Now the real issue is the incredible lack of support from the sales team. I was offered a coupon solution but the math didn't add up and I ended up paying for both Audio Studio 14 and 15 (at a reduced rate) I was advised that my concern was late in arriving but Magix created the time line as indicated above. But it still doesn't address the issue of how the heck one communicates with the sales team in anything remotely resembling a timely fashion. More important, I was advised that there is a chat; there is not. That I should direct my correspondence to another email address for prompt service and left confused if the reply to the present email was going to be responded too. I would advise Magix, US to look at their mission statement and the failure on 3 points of the 5. I am loyal to them only because of the many years of good use, but I question what I consider to be unethical sales methods and a positively frustrating Customer Service experience. I'd advise that one be very careful when dealing with Magix's special offers. I am certain at this point that they are well aware of the push for sales on an older version, just before the newer release. Twice fooled but not again. I have ended up paying full price for the next version. 34.99+29.99 64.98 ,. that's more than the offered list price of 59.99. This campaign happened in a 3 week period. This was intentional in my view. Again the products are great, but Magix has work to do on their customer relations. Too much time spent dealing with BS.
