ok.if you open the recorder youll see at the bottom of the recorder an option that says "start recording and "record lenth"how do you use this?its at the botton right side..its got some boxes to check..what are these for?
Uusally if you run your cursor over these items a little messaage pops up to give you some iidea of what it is or does. Every CD, tape, 8 track, DVD, vinyl record, etc....has time stamps for every track...you can use these tiome stamps to set the "record" length in ACL....and if you are really brave, just walk away and let ACL do its job and you dont have to sit there and watch and hope for the best. There is a lot o good information inthe Help files, tutorials and PDF program. I suggest you spend a few minutes before each session and read some of this stuff. Its there t help you get the most from your software
im trying to locate these tutorials for the acl..what i do have doesnt mention this timer thing..do you add a time like
start time is 2 seconds and the lenth is an hour written out as 100 right below that..and then you have to check the boxes and the recorder will keep recording without stopping for an hour?is that how it works?
On the record screen that you mention, just below the Timer, there is a Help button. Press on it and it will open the help screen and show everything about it. Alternatively, the answer is also on page 43 of the ACL2013 manual:
"Timer: Enter a starting time for a recording and the length of the recording. The recording doesn't begin immediately after pressing the "Record" button, but rather at a specifically set time. This way, time-delayed recordings (for example, at night or when you're out) are now possible. Of course, the system clock has to be set
correctly. If "Record length" is also activated, then the recording will end automatically after the indicated period."
At the top of the advanced setting screen there is a checkbox for Auto recording stop. The use of this is:
"Automatic recording stop: If this button is activated, recording will cease automatically after approx. 16 seconds of silence. This means that you can record without having to stop the process manually when the recording source ends."
