I had the same problem.

Please remove the program setting (option) to check the soundpool at starting and then try to add all your loops into the soundpool database again.

That may resolve your problem.

Hi

Did you download and the second part of the program containing the extra soundpools, synthesizers etc?

See under Help, Update program / upgrade functions, Download free synthesizers and sound packets.

Hi,

Just a clarification. You do not get 6000 soundpools, you get 6000 sounds and loops.

You also get, as per the Magix.com site:

10 MAGIX Soundpools including:

  • Rock Pop Vol. 8
  • Hip Hop Vol. 15
  • Dance Vol. 1
  • Techno Vol. 16
  • Chillout Vol. 8
  • Dubstep Vol. 2
  • Metal Vol. 2
  • Deep House Vol. 1
  • Electro Dub Vol. 1
  • Movie Score Vol. 11

And you get Soundpool collection 18.

Make sure that you do what John Baker has indicated. If there is additional bonus content that does not get installed as per these instructions, then click on the "Catooh" button after installing Music Maker 2014 and follow the instructions.

For Soundpool Collection 18, you probably received a coupon with a code. You will have to go to the Catooh site (click on the Catooh button in MMM) and purchase this, but enter the coupon code. This should reset the amount to zero.

Make sure that you look carefully at the screens when you start up MMM. There are usually instructions for getting the additional content.

If you had purchased directly from Magix, you would have received an email from them with all of the instructions and codes. Since you purchased on Steam, if anything is missing, you have to take it up with them, but first, follow the instructions that you have been given.

Make sure that you register with Magix and Catooh.

@Wineblue2

These are all old, so they should be under C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools assuming that you did not move anything. If you moved them, then MM can't find them.

In either event, in MM, add the location of the Soundpools again.

Actually this is a new rig so I had to reinstall everything from scratch but after performing the required update these which were always part of my soundpool library should have been added back by the Downloader. They are on my laptop copy of MM but I need to know how to go about this being as they were not automatically added back to my library which from the sounds of it your new process is supposed to do but didn't.

@Wineblue2

No, old Soundpools that were not purchased through the in-app Store in MMM, relatively new, were either added/installed by Magix or by you under:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

unless you have redefined this in MMM to be somewhere else.

Just copy them there. There is no installation required. If they are in a zipped file, unzip to be in folders under the above path. Since they are still on your laptop, go into the above folder, copy all of the folders except the folder "Shop" and put them in the exact same location on your new computer.

In-app Store-bought Soundpools will show up under the Downloads button in MMM once you have activated all of your serial numbers and are logged in. The folder indicated above, "Shop" will be populated as you download and install from within MMM.
