I've been unable to open and use the 3D title template in Magix Premium Pro 2022. This is the first time it won't work anymore. I have 20 GB of free space in my C: Drive. Any help?
I don't know if this is the same issue but about three Windows updates back the update caused problems with MEP 2022 on my machine. Make sure your Windows version is up to date and download all updates as my title template problems were resolved after the updates. It may not be your problem but worth checking.
. . . . I have 20 GB of free space in my C: Drive . . . .
The error message may be do to lack of free space on your drive.
Try freeing up some space, if this is the only drive in the computer - 20 GB can get used up very quickly by Windows and programs, the minimum recommended free space should be at least 20% of drive capacity for a hard drive and 25% for an SSD drive.
I have also a D drive of more than 200 GB free. I uninstalled the proramme but the problem now is it won't install anymore. I've been trying all hours this evening (italian time) with no veil. I guess I'm exhausted
After all trial of installing the 2022 version, of which for unknown reasons would not imstall, I finally installed the previous version of 2021 and it's functioning.
My doubt now is, if it was Drive space, the 2021 version is larger than the 2022 version but I was able to install it on same laptop. I tried the 3D title template and it works perfectly.
@johnebaker was not saying the program would not install with that amount of C: drive space, but projects could seize up while in use without enough free drive space. While you may keep your project files of your second drive, there is a lot of file creation and temp files that are shifted around, constantly written and erased, on the C: drive while a project is being run. Some of those files can get quite large depending on the length and the amount of effects and titling that gets used.
The problem you had trying to download the 2023 trial version could be down several other reasons of which we may need you to give us your complete computer specification as mentioned in this forum sticky topic.
Even older programs need to use any updated drivers and Windows updates to balance both one against the other to ensure smooth running of the program. Driver updates keep apace of any changes Microsoft does to the the way Windows interacts with Direct X. Some components of Direct X get rewritten and will no longer communicate correctly with older drivers. Microsoft sometimes changes how Windows reads bit of it's core code and that doesn't always get read by other third party applications like video editing software and further patches are required to rectify that.
I suspect in this instance if you found newer updates of your graphics drivers and Windows updates that you have restored that balance in your system but it may not rule out seizures of your projects at a later date due to the lack of C: drive free space. I'm not sure myself if it is a percentage of free space that is required as if you had a 2TB C: drive that would be an awful lot of free space but certainly I see a slowdown of programs loading and interacting with commands, the less I have.
I can't find anything in the machine specs apart from the really small C: drive that should give you problems.
If you find a project starts off fairly well but slows or freezes or refuses to load certain effects as the project progresses then it is either a lack of free C: drive space for the hot swappable files to do their thing or a your ram is being eaten up and is writing more commands to disk.
In the past we have seen various versions of the program not downloading or getting stuck due to false positives being found with antivirus programs including windows defender which is best to disable any security programs while the download is completing. It could also be you need to reconfigure the ports your computer is using to connect to the internet. There are help topics in the support section of the forums to help with the latter.
I am running 2022 version myself with no such problems as you are experiencing but I have 60GB of free C: drive space. Even then I'm thinking of getting a bigger C: drive.

Hi , excuse me if my english is not perfect....
Something has corrupted in the installation file (hidden file) Videodeluxe.ini (you find it in C: ProgramData>Magix>Videodeluxe28)
Open the videodeluxe.ini file with the "Notes Block", the string that begins with “[GUIDs]” probably is missing.
You have to look for the key in the Windows register
Open “regedit”
Go to “Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID”
then, in the Edit menu, open the "Search function” and digit Video deluxe 2022
Copy the Key*
Open Videodeluxe.ini file in programdata with the "Note Block"
