When running the installer downloaded from my account area, for me I could not install AP8 x86 without first removing AP7. There's probably a way around that limitation, but I'm going to assume it's there for some reason.

I was able to test AP7 and AMS10 projects importing in to AP8 x64 first, before I removed AP7, and then proceeded to install AP8 x86. If you're concerned about compatibility you could try this first also.

Thank you. I think you are saying the AP8 installer removed it, not that you removed it manually?

I have 7(32bit) installed alongside 8(64bit) and AMS10(32bit). All operate independently of each other just fine. 8(32bit) is also installed but doesn't seem to have any issues functioning. Is this, or could it become an issue? Projects created in older versions load into 8 without any problems.

I found out that when uninstalling AP8 due to some install problems(have AP 7 installed) it removed some of the acid fx in AP7, eq and so on...but when reinstalled AP8 it surfaced again in AP7...

maybe it works that way because they share same folders regarding Acid basic fx?

Probably because they share the same file locations in both products. Installing a new version would overwrite those files, and naturally remove them if you removed AP8, then rewritten them on re-installation.
