31.0.1.13 update patch, Windows 7 64 bit, and MM Premium 21

Hi,

Am I OK to install patch 31.0.1.13 onto the MM Premium 21 I have now or must I have Windows 10 or 11? I have Windows 7 and am not interested in upgrading to Windows 10. I have seen that Premium 23 requires Windows 10 or 11 and will stay with Premium 21 unless I do eventually upgrade to Windows 10. Should I be declining all patches while I stay with Premium 21?

Thanks for any advice.

@Philip-J What is your current version number?

It says "Update for 30.0.6.54" on the first screen that appears when the program launches.

@Philip-J Ok, I think that was the latest version of Music Maker 2022.

If it runs fine on your computer I wouldn't change it without making a complete backup first by using some kind of backup software (I personally use an older version of NovaStor Backup).

Version 31 may run on Windows 7 but it's not guaranteed. The problem is that version 31 will uninstall your working version 30. So you need a way to get easily back to your working configuration.

Maybe it's better to upgrade at a later time if you get another computer with a newer version of Windows.

You've laid out the considerations well. I will stay with what I have unless I run into a problem bad enough to make me want to chance the upgrade. Thanks.
