2024 Purchased. Does not work on my PC

Freemgl wrote on 2/22/2024, 11:18 AM

I have been a Photostory user for many years and have gone through multiple versions. I bought and installed Photostory Deluxe 2024 and it is awful. The U/I is much different, but the real problem is it can't run. The video playback during editing is jumpy and eventually hangs. I have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor, 16GB ram, GT730 Nvidia card and ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics adapter. I have reverted back to my PhotoStory Deluxe 2017 and want a refund on the 2024 version. I can provide the order number so you can provide to refund. Thank you.

@Freemgl

Hi

Contact Magix by email to infoservice@magix.net for a refund.

While your PC spec meets the minimum specification required, if you are working with FullHD 1920 x 1080, 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution video the PC is very underpowered and relying totally on the CPU doing all the work.

IMHO the spec for Photostory is not as well written as for Movie Studio and Video Pro X where the distinction is made in GPU requirements
