@EHS This could be caused by the Magix Low Latency ASIO driver (a rebranded, older version of ASIO4ALL). If you want to uninstall Magix Low Latency you can press the Windows key + R on your computer keyboard, and type REGEDIT in the Open

@emmrecs I have just installed Sound Forge Audio Studio 17. I had shut the program and then tried deleting the MAGIX LOW LATENCY 2016 folder. I get that static sound when i hit delete.

@gregory-battaglia Open the program settings and click on the audio settings. Make sure you have selected an ASIO driver. Samplitude comes with Magix Low Latency driver, but I recommend you install the newest version of ASIO4ALL because Magix Low

@JULIAN-FLETCHER Try holding CTRL and SHIFT and double clicking on the program icon to start Sound Forge. Keep holding CTRL and SHIFT until a small window appears that will ask you if you want to reset the program settings. Maybe it will work

@Joey-C Static problems can be caused by incompatibility of the Magix Low Latency driver and your hardware. Since Magix Low Latency is based on ASIO4ALL, it's possible that ASIO4ALL will also cause these problems. Then uninstalling Magix Low Latency

@Jim-Roshelli MME is an ancient Windows sound driver. Were you using Magix Low Latency or ASIO4ALL? Don't you have a driver for your interface? Please check its manual or the website of the manufacturer. It's not really clear from reading your posts

@AJenn By the a way, I recommend to use ASIO4ALL instead of Magix Low Latency. Both are identical, but ASIO4ALL has a much newer version which has better compatibility with Windows 10 and 11. If you click on the Advanced button, no configuration
