You might try the 'reset/clear cache' procedure, which has resolved MP3 issues before... I am not sure about SF-7 though. Magix versions of SF has the 'Reset' tool in the 'File' menu, but Sonic Foundry and Sony versions do not. It can be done though

@bzan Export as WAV and use another tool, for example the free XMedia Recode. Years ago you had to pay license fees to use the Fraunhofer MP3 encoder, so for each activation Sony had to pay a fee. This is the way these old softwares had to be

@bzan If you remember your old Sony customer account e-mail address and password, you should be able to login at Magix.com and download an installer from your Magix customer account. I believe Magix updated those to be able to contact the Magix

rraud, thanks for getting back. I bought SF-5 in 2004. It came with an installation disc that asked for the SN, which was included. I *think* I registered that online as well with no problem. Not sure anymore. Some time later, I contacted Sony
