[Solved] Portrait oriented footage stretched.
Can anyone help me with this issue and suggest a solution? I recently bought the Osmo Pocket 3 video camera, and I'm encountering a problem when importing portrait-oriented footage into Magix Movie Studio. The footage appears stretched horizontally,

RE: Help with Recommending PC Specs
Thanks for your help. I am now using the Sony FX-30. And I'll be the first to say I have a lot to learn. I believe the camera supports all those settings. I goofed around with 10 bit....thinking 10 bit is better than 8. But the MP4 wasn't recognized

RE: Error after installation when opening program
@grahamgrubb Previous posts which you have made refer to MEP 2013. Exactly which version do you now have? If it is still 2013 then, as you were advised in this thread , it is almost certainly not compatible with Win 11. OpenCl.dll is part of your

RE: Provideo Coalition article on Magix Acquistion
Perhaps a good thing with this restructure will be engagement/beta testing before release of a new version. The last few years has been a debacle of failed or buggy updates which has, I'm sure, had an adverse impact on sales of the Magix NLEs. Maybe

@Michael-Malloy6896 Are you trying to use a different e-mail address than before? The software is perhaps already registered to a customer account with a different e-mail address. The software is now bound to that account and cannot be registered to

RE: Help with Recommending PC Specs
Thanks so much for the in-depth response. My target audience is YouTube. So squeezing everything out of my camera is not my intention. I've been mostly fine with HD resolution. It's been an interesting road that brought to this point. I am a

RE: Videowandler 2 issues...
I can't find such a cable, and this is indeed an old camcorder. I don't have a firewire port on my PC either, and those firewire cards for the motherboard seem really expensive. I have a USB-C connector, however. I don't know much about how well

RE: Media Pool - Display options (backup Program settings)
@SevCardy Thanks for your suggestion. I tested it on VPX16 but the changed setting was ignored as @johnebaker has confirmed. I then changed the setting on an older version; VPX11 and the result was how you described. So, for previous versions of

RE: Videowandler 2 issues...
@Sami-Pekonmki The camcorder comes with a mono AV cable, with yellow and black connectors, rather than yellow, red, and white. That mono cable might be the source of the problem! The USB dongle will expect a single video input (usually the yellow

@john-x I assume you are using the first of the two computers shown in your signature. What CPU does it have? If the lock-up keeps occurring at the same or a very similar point in the export, this would suggest there is a problem with something

RE: Videowandler 2 issues...
@Sami-Pekonmki My comments are based on this manual. Sami, do you by any chance, have a DV/Firewire port on your computer? That camcorder appears to be miniDV and the best transfer is via Firewire. Regarding the video signal, you would get better

RE: Videowandler 2 issues...
@Sami-Pekonmki Thank you for the additional information. Every little helps! A quick search on your camera model led to this page from the manual. I assume, from what you write, that you do not have the AV to 3 x Phono (RCA) cable that the manual

RE: 3 and 4 Point Editing
@browj2 Thank you for your instructions. Without them, I would not have worked it out and I am not sure anyone else would have either. The difference in setting up a 3 Point Edit versus a 4 Point Edit in VPX is very subtle. I would say too subtle,
