That easiest way would be to just put each song on seperate tracks, and move the second one to adjust the gap. Then just export the project as mp3, WAV or any audio format you wish.

Unfortunately, you've neglected to give us any information about the songs in question.

In addition to what George said...you can "crossfade" the tracks so one blends seamlessly into the other.  However, this works best when they are in the same or a complimentary key and tempo.  If they are not, you can use the tools in MMM to adjust the tempo of one or both and pitch shift one or both to the the same or a complimentary key.  In addition to or instead of that, you can use the Vita MIDI Editor and a VSTi to create a short transitional piece to smooth the change from one key to another and also crossfade between each piece.
