MEP & VPX6 with Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro - Part 3 - Effects on Titles

browj2 wrote on 4/20/2015, 11:20 PM

The tutorial in the attached video is part 3 about using Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro for creating transitions and picture-in-picture effects and in this part, how to apply SpiceMaster effects to titles created by Movie Edit Pro and also titles created using New Blue Titler EX. The technique for applying SpiceMaster effects to titles is not obvious and this tutorial shows the tricks to do it. The techniques shown work in MEP2015 and Video Pro X6 (and soon X7), but may not work the same or at all in earlier versions.

Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro is a 32 bit and 64 bit plug-in that allows you to use their hundreds of animated masks and add edge, border, glow, bevel, and other effects to them. You can even use your own masks, give them some animation and smooth and modify the edges. The possibilities are almost infinite and you can combine these effects with others.

Please feel free to comment and to let me know whether or not this was worth my time and effort, what you liked, did not like, and if you have any questions.

Note that I am in no way connected to Pixelan, except as a user.

Hi John,

I don't use either of those add-on programs but after viewing both videos I was highly impressed. As clearly and professionally presented as any tutorial I've seen.
