Before attempting to uninstall the software, please note the following:

  • All audio and video templates, as well as all custom user settings, will be deleted when you uninstall the software. If you do not want to delete these, you should first create a backup. You can use our free application "Preset Manager" to do this.
  • Unplug all external USB and Firewire devices from your computer.
  • Temporarily pause your antivirus software.

In Windows, go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features" and uninstall the program.
After uninstalling the software, delete the following folders manually:

  • C:\Program Files\Sony\
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\
  • C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\

The next step requires deleting one or more Windows registry keys. The registry is a very sensitive part of Windows. If you are not comfortable working with the registry, ask an administrator to help you.

Click the "Start" button, enter "Regedit" in the search field and press ENTER.  The Registry Editor will open.

Delete all of the entries in the following registry sections:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sony Creative Software
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Creative Software
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Sony Creative Software
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sony Creative Software

Depending on the program you are using, you may find one or more entries. Delete all of the entries you find and close the Registry Editor.
