This error message may appear when you try to import audio material from VEGAS Pro into SOUND FORGE Audio Studio for dubbing. VEGAS Pro provides support for a much wider range of formats than SOUND FORGE Audio Studio. For this reason, some formats which work in VEGAS Pro cannot be opened by SOUND FORGE Audio Studio.

If you get this error message, try the following:

• Starting by trying the "Open Copy" feature in SOUND FORGE Audio Studio.
• If that doesn't work, use VEGAS Pro to render the audio file in a format which is supported by SOUND FORGE Audio Studio (e.g. *.wav or *.mp3).
• You should then be able to import the rendered file into SOUND FORGE Audio Studio for editing and then import back it into your VEGAS Pro project.
