Here's how you can migrate your domain in four simple steps:
Please note that certain domains may be subjected to restrictions and cannot be migrated immediately.
For example, this applies to gTLDs (i.e.generic top-level domains) regulated by ICANN, such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and .mobi.
These domains may only be transferred 60 days after their registration or migration.
For other types of domains (e.g., country code top-level domains / ccTLDs), there are usually no restrictions.
If you neglect to migrate the domain and it gets deleted by the "registrar", the domain is subject to a lock before it can be re-registered by third parties.
This period varies from 30 to 60 days on average, depending on the domain type.
During the period the domain is still reserved for you and can be registered again (i.e. domain restore).
Please keep in mind that this process is usually subject to fees.
Therefore, proactively moving your domain to a new provider is the easiest and most cost-effective approach.
After this time limit expires, the domain would become available on the market again, so responding to such an email is absolutely necessary if you want to maintain the domain in question.
