Samplitude/Sequoia 10 can run on 64-bit Windows under the following conditions:
- The installation must be performed in the compatibility mode for Windows XP/Vista.
- On the installation DVD, right-click setup.exe.
- Select "Troubleshoot compatibility".
- Select "Troubleshoot program" > "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows...".
- When asked to select a version of Windows, select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)".
Versions with CodeMeter
- Check to make sure you have the latest 64-bit CodeMeter driver installed.
Download CodeMeter driver
- Go to "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features" and uninstall "CodeMeter Runtime Kit 32-bit".
Installing Samplitude/Sequoia on 64-bit operating systems
To use Samplitude/Sequoia on a 64-bit operating system, you need to download and install CodeMeterRuntime64.exe from the MAGIX download area or from www.codemeter.com.
- Go to "Start" > "All Programs" > "Accessories" > "Run" and type in "regedit".
- Open the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WIBU-SYSTEMS\CodeMeter\Server - Right-click "Server" in the registry tree and select "Export".
- Save the key and open it in a text editor such as Notepad.
- Find the string HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WIBU-SYSTEMS\CodeMeter\Server
and replace it with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\WIBUSYSTEMS\CodeMeter\Server - Save the file.
- Double-click the file you just saved to apply the modified key to the Windows Registry.
