TILL THE LAST MAN STANDING

Lyric & Music/Maynard Cooper James

Hey stranger, hey brother in passing do you know me?

Can you see anything from where you are?

I see bodies scattered in the ditches rotting;

buzzards pecking at the eyeballs.

Hovering waiting for the last breath.

He walks down the road to the cool drop of water; to the sweet nectar of honey dripping down her legs.

But he will never get there,

He will never get there.

So, he cries out but no one is listening.

Inside the goldmine the premium connected directors;

natives of the pie crust

are digging and hammering the world closer to their heart's desire,

heating it up in the hands of the witless,

promising answers; doors of opportunity but they will die there, for there is no gold; there is only a dream,

a dream, their dream.

And THE LAST MAN STANDING on the two-lane blacktop evaporated into the twilight;

you weary and worn down.

Question boldly for the debate is not over

Can man rule himself? I say yes, they say never, stay closer to thy heart's desire.

Have they broken your spirit?

No Way!

Have they broken your soul?

Never!

MIRACLES ARE NOT CREATED BY MAN

FOR THE MAN IS A HATEFUL SPITEFUL BLACK HEARTED NASTY,

AND HE HAS NO WORRY AND NO TENSION

AND HE SHALL PERISH THE SAME AS THE HOURS BECOME MEMORIES,

FOR HE FORGOT, HE FORGOT ABOUT GOD!

HE FORGOT ABOUT GOD!

Hey brother, hey sister where are you going?

Can you tell me do you see anything from where you are?

Bis der letzte Mann steht
Text & Musik / Maynard Cooper James

Hey Fremder, hey Bruder im Vorbeigehen kennst du mich?
Kannst du etwas sehen, wo du bist?
Ich sehe in den Gräben verstreute Körper verrotten;
In der Goldmine der Premium-Direktor;

very interesting alternative - ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

This is like a rockin hippie song from the 60's, dark undertones of evil thoughts, a nightmarish rock scene of untold carnage and chaos. an excellent piece with a rocky horror show approach to it, cheers guys, a great listen. 😀👍🍺🍺🍺👌👊

Thank you very much, Steve! The lyrics underscore communism and how they forget about God and are never for the people but they are for power over everything. While the King dines on caviar the peasants and people starve. Our USA constitution was created by the British who had lived in tyranny for eons and they knew when you give the powerful too much power they naturally become corrupted. One of Maynards most powerful songs in my humble opinion, Brother Steve. God bless you and all at Magix.info. Your Friend and Fan Always, Clay8-)

Yes and communism can have undertones of nightmarish and evil thoughts, it's a show put on display by the communist power which has been going on for decades.Communism brings chaos and confusion, The king dines in Thailand while the poor suffer for example which is current news. nothing changes unless the voice is spoken and heard.

Indeed, Steve. Well, but if you voice any opposition in communist countries you can be killed. It's very sad that communism is still in the world, and freedom is the main antidote and voting which we can still do in this country, but will it be rigged as it looks more and more like this election has been? I'm all for the will of the people in both political parties to be heard, and for every legal vote to be cast and whoever wins wins, Brother. Thank you for your thoughts, man. God bless, Clay8-)

Hello Mike, Thank you very much for your kind words about Maynard's brilliant song! He told me that it's about Revelations The End Times. I thought it was about communism but I was wrong although these can be the effects of real communism. You nailed the sound and I will be sure to pass your interesting and kind review to Maynard James, Brother Mike. You're a blessing, and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas soon. God bless you, my talented friend! Your Friend and Fan Always, Clay8-)

WOW - Now this is really different for you. I thought I heard the phone ringing. Reminds me of the insane days when I was stoned on acid and wandering the streets, lost in San Diego... Love it!

Thank you very much for reviewing Maynard James cool song, Brother! I tell you the man is one of a kind, and I consider myself damned lucky and fortunate to have met him on ACIDplanet some 10+ years ago, but also John Duffin, Ben Mullins and Bill Fetter and many others. I don't want to leave folks out but there are so many. Yes, this song is a wake up call for Christians and mankind. Maynard writes deep songs that really mean something, my friend! Again Many Thanks for this review which I will pass on to Maynard James. I bet you remember him. He was A Murder Of Crows and ACIDplanet, and he is Maynard James' Flying Machine on SoundCloud now, Bill. Thanks for everything, Bill. God bless, Clay8-)
