A song about a town known for it's Halloween tourism and the tragic tales of those who live there. Lyrics and vocals song artwork by Ian Michalski. Music is from a backing track found on YouTube.

Lyrics

Haunted sounds are played on stereos

And the chill of coming winter through my town

Tonight outside my window people hide behind their masks

Acting as if they don’t wear them all year round

With alcoholic cider in their goodie bags

All the ghostly tourists come around to play

And we who make our homes here with our families and friends

Just hope these freaks don’t speak to us and stay away

People come to watch the hallows eve parade

In all the lovely costumes they have made

Every skeleton from every closets here

On the one night they can gather without fear

Our town is known for its dark history

Ever since the days of pious puritans

Here many innocents died needlessly

Sure its tragic, but it brings the money in

In all our cemeteries you can see

Crumbling monuments for young lives that were lost

And if there is a fine for human cruelty

These poor unfortunates have paid the cost

People come to watch the hallows eve parade

In all the lovely costumes they have made

Every skeleton from every closets here

On the one night they can gather without fear

Let me lead you round our crooked streets

And you’ll see the local color we can glean

There’s the mansion of the widow Montieth

It’s been 50 years or more since she’s been seen

They say that she’s been married countless times

And each time her husband met a tragic fate

And now for love she sits alone and pines

Or perhaps she’s lying dead in that estate

People come to watch the hallows eve parade

In all the lovely costumes they have made

Every skeleton from every closets here

On the one night they can gather without fear

Every story that I tell tonight

Is depicted as the grand parade goes by

Just dig the music and the pretty lights

Its not your place to dig too deep or wonder why

Come the morning you will leave this place

and go back to the aimless drudgery you know

My only hope is that on foggy nights

You are reminded of our most amazing show

Those who come home from the hallows eve parade

End up looking for a piece of them that stayed

We take these pieces and we lock them all away

You will find them here when you return someday

Fantastic - real talent - a magnificent text a beautiful performance - ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

WOW! Once again your voice and lyrics tell an intriguing and compelling story of "The Hallows Eve Parade," brother! The music beautiful complements your melody, voice, and lyrics! And you always enunciate so well! A singer extraordinaire indeed! Broadway lyrics and singing in a powerful way and your pitch is right on! It's always great how you show with your lyrics instead of telling. So much more picturesque that way and powerful! Long live your talent, my good friend! VME! Clay Brian Wilson 10,000 Suns!💯👍👍👍👍👍
