A good start, great synth work, working with a few compression tricks will bring the bass into a 'vacuum' ;), let's see what you can do with it further!

Very, very cool, my friend! I know the original very well, because as a DJ in the 80s, I had to play "SMALLTOWN BOY" two or three times a night. Your version still has fragments of the main melody, but it's more techno-oriented. I think your work is very cool! Maybe you could make a longer version of it?
