Beautiful music Trish, I like this type of piano music, played not too quickly and you were right to continue playing it while your husband asked you to come to bed.
You always have to go all the way when at a moment when you are inspired to start playing and if you stop in progress, if you have not recorded what you have played, and for example you go to bed or that you have to occupy yourself with something else, the next morning or a few hours after this stop, everything is gone. Well, for me it's like that, because as you know, even though I had a lot of music lessons when I was very young, I didn't continue with music theory because I couldn't memorize and it seemed too complex to me and annoyed me, so as I got my musical ear from my mother, I became self-taught and only played by ear and visually with a few notions of music that remained with me, but that was not the case. That’s not what allows me to play improvised pieces all the time.
So when I start playing something I like and I don't record it or film it, I usually forget this improvisation most of the time and it's lost forever.

Belle musique Trish, j'aime ce type de musique au piano, joué pas trop rapidement et vous avez eu raison de continuer à la jouer alors que votre mari vous demandait de venir vous coucher.
Il faut toujours aller jusqu'au bout quand à un moment où on est inspiré en commençant à jouer et que si on arrête en cours, si vous n'avez pas enregistré ce que vous avez joué, et que par exemple vous allez vous coucher ou que vous êtes obligé de vous occupé à autre chose, le lendemain matin ou quelques heures après cet arrêt, tout est parti. Enfin pour moi c'est comme cela, car comme vous le savez, même si j'ai eu beaucoup de cours de musique quand j'étais très jeune, je n'ai pas continué le solfège car je n'arrivais pas à mémoriser et ça me paraissait trop complexe et me dépitait,  alors comme je tiens mon oreille musicale de ma mère, je suis devenu autodidacte et ne joue qu'à l'oreille et au visuel avec quelques notions de musique qui me sont resté, mais ce n'est pas çà qui me permet de tout le temps jouer des morceaux improvisés.
Donc quand je commence à jouer quelque chose qui me plait et que je ne l'enregistre pas ou ne le filme pas, en général j'oublie cette improvisation la plupart du temps et c'est perdu à jamais.
