Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas. This will be my last upload of 2012, so I will say: Happy New Year!

Sometimes I feel like I am out of ideas for music, like I am stuck, or at a dead end. But I have learned that beautiful things are often found at dead ends. I hope this is one of those times. This video contains a couple little ideas I came up with recently, along with some improv. I am definitely not a guitar player, but I believe that different instruments can inspire different ideas, so I try to change it up as much as possible.

Anyway, I'd like to take this time to thank you all so much for listening to my music throughout the year. I can't even explain how much it means to me.

And also, I have a request. To prevent me from feeling stuck at dead ends (in music or in life) I would like some suggestions for anything new I can try. In the new year, how can I challenge myself musically or in any other way? I would like some ideas. Maybe your idea will become a reality in 2013.

Thanks again. God bless!

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Dear Travis.... this is a very creative dead end.....

you HAVE to breathe in after you have given so much..... this is the quite normal rhythm of
creativity.... EVERYBODY goes through this from time to time...

and there always will come something new....

you NEVER will run out of ideas....

This playing the guitar is very fine... such a silent little tune - VERY nice!!

You are a great moovie friend.... you will find... no.....IT will find you....

I wish you a very good New Year - a lot of creative power and a lot of peace to
enjoy it!

All the best for you!

Helene

... you've done well
... I'm a drummer
... and have no idea of singing and playing piano
... but that's what I'll try 2013
... For me, the journey is the reward
... and dead ends are part of the way

... all the best for you in 2013
... We see / hear us

------------------------------------
... das hast du gut gemacht
... ich bin ein Schlagzeuger
... und habe keine Ahnung vom Singen und Klawier spielen
... aber genau das werde ich 2013 versuchen
... für mich ist der Weg das Ziel
... und Sackgassen sind Teil des Weges

... alles Gute für Dich in 2013
... wier sehen / hören uns

Same to you Travis. I think you're on to something there.  Listen to Steve Howe of the band Yes (the Tormato album) and you will find your muse.
