This was done by applying a progressive/regressive flash lens effect in Photoshop to 15 duplicates of Earth. They were then imported into MEP and the length of each set at 0.3 seconds. In Photoshop, a hole was strategically placed at the explosion spot with its edges feathered. The hole is a transparent png. Particle effects were done with Particle Illusion and placed in the foreground for the Antimatter effect and a reverse vortex placed in the background behind the blown out earth. Audio modifications done with Magix. Looks better than the Adobe AE nuke effect I watched earlier today. Way to go Magix!

Although  I  am  new to  this  video  editing.  I  think that  the  effect  is  little  over done. ithink   that   just  showing the  initial  impact with  a smaller  explosion  would have  been  better.  I really  like  it  but I would  remove  the electrical  storm effect.
