Title: Empathy
Artists: Roxall
Album: My Universe

The 7th track of my home made album, Created and produced entirely using Magix midis and my vocals.

No soundpools were used.

This dark progressive alt rock track is probably my favourite out of all my songs.

I feel I nailed the structure and production in building the song's musical and emotional intensity.

Enjoy and please leave feedback.

Oh, the time's they are a changing.

The ocean hides the storm

below the surface is churning.

To change forever.

You were a light that shined apon my darkest heart.

But that light is now fading.

and now I'm dark and cold.

Come.....Closer.....

Chorus:

And she lets me down.

Cause she can't feel the way I feel.

And I let her down.

Cause I can't feel the way she feels.

I stare blankly into the abyss.

I can't contain the rage.

The fear is going to devour me.

I feel so helpless.

and you don't understand.

Thats why you make me feel so angry.

I cannot feel your pain.

Because what empathy I had is gone.

Go.......Closer.......

Chorus.

I can't.......

And I won't!

Hi Roxall:

Thanks for the morning treat (8:50 AM NYC time).  As always, your singing and playing makes for a fine sound.  (Drums ain't bad either).

Time to head out the door now...

Enjoy a productive day, my friend.

Griff

Yes - an invite from Roxall. That can only mean....YES!

Another track from your album.

I remember this track from listening to it first time.

Still love this slow beginning with your voice adding so much to the feel.

Once it takes off, it becomes even more powerful.

Great rock track - very close to an anthem.

All the best, Norbert

It is not the rock style I prefer, but as a whole the track seems built with care.
musical base that fits the vocal performance.
good

This song includes a great climax (or "increase"? Don't know the right word). You start in slow motion, then it's getting faster. And from 5:18 on we hear the powerful final. Wow, this is a perfect composition. I like it so much *****

More great grunge sounds, Roxall.  Your mix for this somewhat haunting song is wonderfully balanced.  Your vocals come across really well and are superbly performed.  Super stuff.

Cheers,
Nick
