ZOOM H2 as an external mic in Music Maker 17

I am using a ZOOM H2 as an external mic. I record audio. The object shows a waveform in the preview window. When i attempt to replay audio the EQ comes to life BUT I hear nothing. I amnewto this so I am assuming i am either doing something wrong or not doing something. What gives

Well nihon, If I had bothered to make sure my H2 internal software was on the most recent version I'd have not had this problem at all. I bought my H2 about 2 years ago and havent updated it since. I just got so used to it working on any machine I plugged it into I never thought to check the software.

Once I updated the issue was not even there anymore. Your suggestion; whle very thoughtful, remains untested with me because If I had done what I should have done fromthe begining I'd havenever needed to postthisquestion. Thank You
