I am using Xtreme Photostory on CD & DVD 8. I am using Vista. Whenver I try to switch between Timeline or storyboard or Overview mode, the entire program freezes. How can I correct this problem?
I have solved the problem and narrowed it down to a problem with Vista.
Apparently there is a problem in Vista when loading software using a subaccount rather than the administrator account. In the subaccount mode Vista asks for the administrator password and authorization to down load the Magix software. This is where the confusion appears to start as some software ends up in the adminsitrator account and some in the subaccount. When using Magix software, the operating system cannot retrieve the necessary software info from the two accounts and shuts down. This was my conclusion....
Solution to the problem is to uninstall all Magix software from administrator and all subaccounts. Make sure that everything is indeed deleted! Reload Magix software using the administrator account only. This solved the probelem for me.
I am solved the problem of Magix xtreme photostory 8 crash after few minutes.
The crash for me ( Win XP Pro) was caused by a conflict with the firewall (PC TOOLs Firewall Plus).
I have to leave the firewall before i open the program and it works! Bye!
