Xara won't connect to the internet

Xara won't connect to the internet. It says, "You need to be online to use this feature." I am online and able to save to OneDrive online from Xara. I suspect this happened after the latest upgrade. It is the same on my laptop and desktop PC. Is there a fix? My subscription was renewed in March 2022. Currently the upgrade option and all online features are unavailable to me. I am using the latest version of Windows 10 using the Microsoft update service. I have used Xara for at least 20 years, this is the first time I have been shut out.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

This problem is almost certainly being caused by your Firewall and/or Antivirus blocking the connection to and/or from the Xara server.

You need to ensure that XDP is granted full permission to connect, both outgoing and incoming, in the rules of your firewall and AV. Which firewall and AV do you use?

I am using the Windows firewall. I have had a look in there and Xara wasn't mentioned. I then looked at allow another app, no idea what to click on. I use Sophos, which has never had a problem with Xara. I can add exceptions but I am not exactly sure what I type in.
