Hello John EB.  No  havent done that is tehre some kind of setting I should change? I just opened the software and opened the file. Under page options the site size is the same. If I preview the page it looks how it should (photo attached).

 Its only the editing screen that has the page content cropped inside the yellow box as shown in the photo I attached with my initial question. Regards> Ray.

I suspect the content box is not the same width as you had it set in WD MX.

Clicking on the edge of the content box (bounded by the yellow lines) should select it and allow you drag it to size with the handle circled in red in the image below

Hi. Even if I turn all the layes off to see the yellow box. The uellow line box itself isnt click/dragable I cant seem to select it on any page I try. Is there some way I can enter values for its size?  (although on a 20 or so page website of different page sizes entering values to correct the problem  would be very laborious indeed)..

Ok. I have noticed this problem affected all text and shapes placed on the 'background layer'. So I moved everything on background to a new layer (layer 1) positioned directly above bacground as shown in the image and hey preseto the page appears how its intended to. 

However, this changes my intentions for that content on the page. Text and images placed on the background layer was there by intention, because in most browsers it cannot be selected / copied and pasted by others seeking to pinch it for use in property blogs, there own website or whatever they choose. 

I am keen (as much as is feasible) to at least make it anot so easu to lift from my site in a single mouse click!" But now the text content is on a different layer (layer 1) it can be easiily copied by others. 

So my next question is. How can I make the new layer (layer 1 in this image) behave like its the background layer, ie locked and not easily selectable by most browsers? I ask this question on the assumption that creating the new layer is the only way to actually solve the initial problem? Obviosuly if there is an easier way without moving layers then great.

I know this may sound as though I am 'passing the buck', however  in this particular instance I would suggest you have a look in the Xara Web Designer forum - there is a lot more information and users of the software than here.
