The browser for xara is not popping up when previewing a website. Instead I get a browser another browser and I'm not sure how that one browser is choose. I need the xara browser to default, the one that allows me to choose between all browsers installed.

Xara Designer Pro uses the default web browser as set in Windows for .htm files in Windows settings, App, Default Apps.

It would appear that for the latest version of the program the option to choose a browser is not available.

On my PC, I have XDP 18.5 which does allow browser selection.
In my registry, there is the following entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\XtremePro x64\18\Options\WebPreview
With the REG_DWORD key:
UseDefaultBrowserForPreview
Which is set to 0
I am wondering if there is an equivalent entry for XDP 19 (I don’t use thise version so I can’t check).
Something like:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\XtremePro x64\19\Options\WebPreview

The registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\XtremePro x64\18\Options\WebPreview,
UseDefaultBrowserForPreview is set to 1 by default in Web Designer 19
Changing the value to 0 allows selection of the browser.
However as always when editing the registry, you do so at your own risk.
