X7 smart copy for MP4 exporting

Hi, I've noticed the above check-box in the advanced render settings, but it's greyed-out (disabled) - in what situations is ti activated?

You need to tick Smart Render first.

In MEP 2015 it is the same problem - it is greyed out on the Burn, Advanced dialogs and when trying to export as mp4 it is greyed out if I use the Main Concept encoder, but is enabled if I use the Intel codec !

This is the same for mpg or mp4/mts on the timeline - see below
