Hi all,

I want to trial the free version of music maker before I upgrade but it stops here and seems to flash and dont progress. The laptop is running windows 10 and 64 bit other than that my laptop skills are limited lol so if anyone has a solution please reply in a really simple form so I stand a chance fixing the issue lol. Thank you

@BigTiger123_ The download manager stores all files in C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\MAGIX Downloads\Installationsmanager

So you can navigate to this folder and start the exe file manually. In case your Music Maker setup exe isn't there, it might be the case that your antivirus deleted it automatically.

Thank you so much it was the firewall blocking it so deactivated it and re activated it after it downloaded and working great and I'm making music. Thank you once again for replying. Take care.

@LunaNightZ

Hi

Try again now - the servers appear to be backup.

Sorry for reviving an old post, but I've uninstalled my anti-virus software, disabled the firewall, uninstalled my download manager software, checked that the Background Intelligent Download Service was running (then stopped and restarted it) and have tried running the musicmaker.exe file as an Administrator. It gets stuck at 0% and then pauses. I'm keen to try out this software, but why is this so unnecessarily difficult? 😭

@emilethelander Are you sure Windows Defender is disabled?

The only other idea I have is to add Magix.com and Magix.net to the trusted internet sites in Windows under the Windows Control Panel> Internet Options > Security Tab > Trusted Site

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, Windows Defender is most certainly disabled. I have added magix.com and magix.net to the list of trusted sites, but the problem persists.

@emilethelander Please contact customer support at infoservice@magix.net and ask them for a direct download link.
