Won't export as mpeg

Hey...

So when I go to export my project as an mpeg - i click OK - like I have done for the past couple of times and it worked - but now nothing happens.

It will export it as .mov.

Why would it suddenly do this? What can I go to fix it?

The project is mainly made up of mpg, but there is one avi in it. I took it out, in case it was causing a problem. But no... still won't export!

Any ideas?

Which version of Movie Edit Pro?

As a test, can you start a new project, load in something small, and see if you can export that out as MPEG?

If that works, then something in the project file you have for the one that isn't working is corrupted, I have never heard of that before, but thats what my brain wants to say.

I would suggest if you can export a MPEG from a new project, that you open the project that it will not work in and export it out as AVI in the same resolution as the MPEG you want to create, then load that AVI file after completing into a new project and export that out as the MPEG.

Now, if you cannot export MPEG at all regardless of a new project or not, I recommend backing up ALL your files, project files and whatnot... then reinstalling the software, maybe there is a corruption within the MPEG codecs themselves.

Hi rprob,

before you re-install, try setting your program back to the default settings. It may help unless you have done something to your system

Thansk for your replies.

I tried a new project and export it as mpeg - and it worked. So I did the .avi export and then exported that as an mpeg.

Must have been something in the project the initial mpeg export didn't like!

All good now.
